BEATRIX=MYCOLOGIST artist's book

A miniature book made in conjunction with the National Trust, and currently exhibited under magnifying lenses at Wray Castle, Cumbria.
BEATRIX=MYCOLOGIST examines Beatrix Potter's research into mycology, her development of a study on spore germination, and her execution of fungal drawings and paintings.
Interweaving this narrative is the slowly progressing mycelial mat which, like Potter's own journey, never develops to bear its expected fruit. Maybe what it does create is enough in itself.
